From May 23-26, Prof. Xiangcheng Li, Vice Chairman of Hepatobiliary Center in our hospital, was invited to participate in the annual meeting of International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) in Lisbon, Portugal. More than 1,700 professionals from over 70 countries met there to discuss scientific advances in liver transplantation procedures and therapy.
In this conference, Prof. Li was invited to present three surgical videos titled Caudate lobectomy combined with portal vein reconstruction using collateral vein for advanced aggressive fibromatosis at the hepatic hilum, Portomesenteric shunt for liver transplantation and complete portal vein thrombosis, and Peeling off technique in liver transplantation in patients with stents after Tips. He was also invited to preside at the video session: surgical videos for technical innovation.
For other participants from our hospital, Prof. Ke Wang delivered a surgical video presentation named Liver transplantation for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma combined with portal vein tumor thrombus and Prof. Aihua Yao also presented a case Jaundice with unknown reasons after liver transplantation.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Changxian Li delivered an oral speech named Aldose reductase promotes steatohepatitis in mice through regulating inflammatory response and lipid metabolism. In view of his excellent research, he was awarded the Young Investigator prize by the conference.
