The 2018 American Organ Transplantation Conference (AOTC) was held in Seattle from 2-6June. As the most important educational activity in the field of basic and clinical transplantation, this conference attracted more than 4,000 attendees of physicians, surgeons, scientists, nurses and pharmacists from all over the world.
Participants conducted heated discussions on the latest developments, hotspots and difficult issues in the field of transplantation, translational medicine and clinical research. From Urology Department of our hospital there are two abstracts titled Pharmacological genetics of CYP3A4, CYP3A5, CYP2C8 and CYP2C19 and their effects on the pharmacokinetics of tacrolimus in kidney transplant recipients by Dr.Tan Ruoyun and Kidney transplantation the effects of the single-nucleotide polymorphism of P450 oxidoreductase and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha on the pharmacokinetics of tacrolimus by Dr.Han Zhijian, which were accepted as the posters for the exchange in the conference. Through the meeting, the two learned about the latest developments in basic research and translational medicine research in the field of organ transplantation in the world, and provided new inspiration and thought for the future clinical and scientific research in transplantation.
